What a fun and engaging day we had today filled with learning, exploration, and teamwork at FunnPlay !
Both indoors and outdoors, our tamariki enjoyed a variety of exciting experiences. Children explored riding bikes, water play, balancing on the spiky balls, and creating delicious “kai” in the sandpit kitchen.
They also had so much fun playing with play dough, joining dinosaurs together, feeding them, and participating in outdoor group games that encouraged teamwork and communication.
During our morning mat time, children learned about Sign Language Week and discussed why sign language is important in helping everyone communicate and feel included. Tamariki enjoyed learning simple sign language words such as “please,” “thank you,” and “sorry,” along with many more.
Our toddlers had a wonderful time singing and enjoying the “Old MacDonald Had a Farm” song. They patiently waited for their turns to hold the animals, make animal sounds, and join in the music and movement experience.
In the morning activity time, our preschoolers played an exciting matching game where they had to find the same patterned eggs and join them together. They were so excited and focused while exploring patterns and problem-solving skills.
During transition time, preschoolers explored important social skills such as turn-taking, waiting patiently, encouraging one another, and showing kindness to their friends. We were also so proud to see children helping kaiako make resources, showing responsibility and a willingness to contribute to our learning environment.
Ngā mihi nui for your continued support. We love seeing our tamariki learning through play, creativity, and collaboration every day.
