Our daycare centre started with happy, curious tamariki ready to play and learn. It was a wonderful day for tamariki, filled with learning and fun both indoors and outdoors. During mat time, the children explored new Christmas words using bright flash cards, building their vocabulary and celebrating together. Using pom poms, they enjoyed painting Christmas trees, showing creativity and fine motor skills.
In the warm sunshine, tamariki had a great time with water play, exploring new textures and developing social skills as they shared and laughed together. We also practiced a fire drill, helping children learn about safety and caring for each other.
Throughout the day, children played in the sandpit, setting animal farm, built with blocks, magnets, and took part in pretend play and art activities. These activities encouraged creativity, imagination, problem-solving, and cooperation. It was fantastic to see their joy, curiosity, and confidence growing in so many ways!
