It was a happy start to the week in our childcare centre, with almost everyone back from their holiday break. Tamariki were excited to see each other again, and the classroom was filled with smiles and laughter.
We kicked off the day with our mat time, where tamariki enjoyed learning about letters, numbers, the days of the week, and the weather .
We also warmly welcomed our new teacher, Preeti, to the group. Afterwards, the tamariki took part in both indoor and outdoor activities, enjoying learning and playing together. We made sure to practice our monthly earthquake drill as part of staying safe.
In the afternoon, the tamariki engaged in different arts and crafts like collage and bubble art, all in preparation for Valentine’s Day. They were so creative and loved being part of the transition group activities. Though it started to rain after lunch, we kept the fun going indoors with games and creative play, making sure everyone stayed happy and engaged. Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou katoa for a wonderful day together! We look forward to more adventures this week!
